USING SU JOK ACUPUNCTURE IN TREATMENT OF CLIMACTERIC SYNDROME

The author analyses the causes and aggravating factors of the climacteric syndrome (CS), and also the effectiveness of various therapies (hormone substitution therapy and Su Jok therapy) by the example of 60 patients. A direct relation has been discovered between the development and severity of CS and chronic extragenital pathology. It has been demonstrated that the Su Jok therapy is much more effective than the hormone substitution therapy, especially in atypical complicated forms of CS, nervous and psychic disorders and extragenital pathology. Besides, Su Jok therapy has a number of other advantages:

• absence of contraindications;
• effects from the first days of treatment;
• absence of dependence and complications;
• stable long-lasting effect and shorter duration of the course of treatment.
